On July 16, the quick chanting of Kiko classic car auctioneers filled the Canfield Fairgrounds at the Dave & Ed’s Summer Auto Event. Kiko auctioned off classic vehicles 26 years and older to several hundred bidders.

The collector vehicle auction offered bidders a variety of vehicles for sale, including a 1924 Ford T-Bucket truck, 1946 Chrysler Windsor, 1949 Ford F-1, 1971 Honda CB350 motorcycle, 1976 Cadillac Seville Custom Opera Coupe, and a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner.

The event also offered a selection of project vehicles in different degrees of restoration, including a 1974 VW Bug and a 1957 Chevy Bel Air.

“Offering project vehicles to those who are looking for winter projects was a nice addition to our auction,” said Bruce Peoples, Kiko’s classic car specialist.

The auction began with memorabilia offering everything from oil cans to signs and a Sinclair gas pump sold for $1,980. Then the roar of classic cars could be heard across the fairgrounds as they made their way to the auction block.

During the event, a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner sold for $23,320; a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro fetched $20,790; and a 1924 T-Bucket netted $12,265.

“Several of our sellers have already discussed putting cars in our next auction,” Peoples added.
