YOUNGSTOWN

Three South Side women jailed on felony charges in what police said was an ongoing feud with three other women are scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Youngstown Municipal Court next week.

Shalena Clark, 38, Rayshawnda Clark, 20, and Darlesha Jones, 19, were arrested Tuesday at their Brooklyn Avenue residence and made their initial court appearance before Judge Robert Douglas, who will conduct their preliminary hearing at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Shalena Clark, who is jailed under $50,000 bond, was charged with two counts of attempted murder.

Rayshawnda Clark, Shalena’s daughter, remains jailed under $100,000 bond on charges of attempted murder, three counts of felonious assault and two counts of criminal damaging.

Jones is jailed under $25,000 bond on one count of complicity to felonious assault.

Weapons used in the dispute included a gun, pots, pans and a steel bar, police said.

The feud between the women, according to police, has been ongoing for a long time, but culminated earlier this week with multiple police reports filed from both sides.

Detective Sgt. Patrick Kelly said the mother and daughter are charged with attempted murder because police learned that one of them pointed a gun at the other women and pulled the trigger, then passed the weapon to the other woman, who squeezed the trigger and nothing happened.

“This is an ongoing feud between these groups. I can’t even begin to tell you when it started or why,” Kelly said.

Reports include calls for one woman breaking out the car windows of another with a large wrench, then flattening the woman’s tires.

There are also reports of shattered home windows and fist- fighting between the women.

The suspects were treated by ambulance personnel for bumps and cuts on their heads after a Sunday afternoon fight at the Brooklyn Avenue house, according to a police report.

“This incident is another episode in a two-daylong feud between these two groups, in which numerous reports have been made,” Officer Edward Kenney wrote in his report concerning Sunday’s Brooklyn Avenue brawl.
