Austintown Fitch High School Class of 1961 is having a two-day 50th class reunion Labor Day weekend. The committee has planned a dinner from 6 to 11 p.m. Sept. 3 and a buffet brunch at 11 a.m. Sept. 4, both at Lucianno’s. The deadline for reservations is Aug. 3. Chaney High School Class of 1966 will have its 45th-year class reunion, beginning with a mixer at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Eagles Club, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. A dinner-dance will take place from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown. There is no charge for the mixer; there will be a cash bar. The cost for the reunion is $30 per person; reservations are due by Aug. 8 to: Chaney Class of 1966, c/o Ruth Johnston Nilsson, 3610 Darbyshire Drive, Canfield, OH 44406. The cost of the class picture at 6:45 p.m. will be $10 at the door. Dress is semi-casual.

East High School Class of 1961 has planned two events for its 50th-year class reunion. A prereunion party will take place Sept. 9 at Bruno’s Restaurant in Boardman, and on Sept. 10 the reunion is planned at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. All reservations are due Aug. 20; no payments will be accepted at the door. Those who have not received an invitation should contact Shirley DePietro at 330-799-0775.

The 76th annual Ellsworth School reunion will be a covered dish lunch at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at Ellsworth VFW Hall, 11397 Ellsworth Road. All teachers and classmates from Ellsworth Township schools before the consolidation with Berlin Center and their families are invited and asked to take a covered dish, table service and white elephant auction items. Beverages will be furnished.

Ewing-Gault families will have a 122nd reunion Aug. 6 at Liberty Park in North Jackson. Those attending as asked to take table service and a covered dish for the 12:30 p.m. luncheon.

New Castle High School Class of 1950 will have a picnic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 13 at Pearson Park in Neshannock Township, Pa., in Shelter No. 6. The 102nd reunion of the Western Pa. Cory Association will take place at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Fire Mountain Restaurant in Chippewa, Pa. Copies of Mark Hester’s “McCowin/Cory History will be available for purchase; one will be raffled off. Those planning to attend are asked to call Marge Chilson at 330-426-3709 by Aug. 3 and to take pictures and memorabilia to share.

The annual John Whiting Sr. family reunion will take place Aug. 7 at the home of Shawn and Mandy Huston, 7530 state Route 551, Pulaski, Pa. A picnic lunch at 1 p.m. will be followed by a family meeting. Whiting descendants and friends are invited. Those attending as asked to take a covered dish and table service. Beverages will be provided.
