70th anniversary of Thomases marked June 26

CANFIELD

A celebration on June 26 honored Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomas of Canfield for their 70th wedding anniversary.

The informal gathering for family and close friends was hosted by the couple’s children, Barbara and Tom Pilarcik of Wilbraham, Mass.; Robert Thomas of Kealakekua, Hawaii; and Anita and Michael Wagner of Struthers, at whose home the party took place.

The Thomases also are the grandparents of three and the great-grandparents of three.

Mrs. Thomas is a homemaker. Mr. Thomas is self-employed in refrigeration at Rob’s Service Center, Canfield, and is a teacher at ETI Technical College in Niles. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Mr. Thomas and the former Grayce Ebert were married June 27, 1941, at the Presbyterian Church in Zelienople, Pa.
