AUXILIARIES

VFW 2799 Men’s Auxiliary meeting is planned for 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Post Home.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1954 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Hartville Kitchen in Hartville, Ohio. Family and guests are welcome. South High School Class of 1953 will have a picnic from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 19 at the Community Center in Boardman Park. There will be plenty of food, and door prizes will be awarded. All classmates are welcome; no reservations are needed.

CLUBS

Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet for a social luncheon-meeting at noon Wednesday at the Dennison Farm in Canfield. Social committee members will serve as hostesses.

Columbiana and Mahoning County Beekeepers Association will meet Sunday at the Loghurst Historical Log Home, Route 224, Canfield. A potluck lunch at 1 p.m. will precede the meeting at 2. Those attending should take their own chairs.

Mahoning Valley Cribbage Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. James Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. New players are welcome. For more information call 330-757-9503.

SINGLES

DARE Singles Group is a social group for divorced, widowed, and separated people. The group meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, across from Giant Eagle. The following activities are planned: Tuesday, boccie at 6 p.m. at Boardman Park; Wednesday, walking at Mill Creek Park, meet at Dr. Shah’s lot at 6 p.m.; Thursday, small-talk night at 7:30 p.m. at the church; and July 22, movies at Poland Yellow Creek Theater, behind the library, at dusk.

SOCIETIES

Historical Society of McDonald will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the community room at the post office building and between 10 and 10:15 a.m. Thursday after the Mayor’s Seminar in the same room.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Bereaved Parents of the USA, Mahoning County-Youngstown Chapter of a national nonprofit self-help group that offers support, understanding and hope to bereaved parents and other family members, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Nar-Anon, a 12-step program for relatives and friends who have been adversely affected by a loved one’s addiction to drugs, meets at 7 p.m. Fridays at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 160 Clifton NE, Howland. Newcomers should arrive at 6:45. For more information call 330-856-3822.

Portage County Chapter 600 of Parents Without Partners will sponsor a barbecue supper from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and its monthly dance from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Kent VFW Post 3703, 500 VFW Parkway. The supper and dance are open to the public, and nonmembers are invited to join the PWP members to celebrate the country western dance theme. The cost for the barbecue is $7 per person, and the cost for the dance is $6 per person for members and $8 for nonmembers.
