Pecchia adds clients
canfield
Pecchia Communications, a public-relations and marketing firm, recently added four new clients, all of Ohio: AkzoNobel Paints in Strongsville; Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates in Canfield; Ohio Valley Energy in Austintown; and Dr. John’s Family Dentistry in Poland.
All four engagements involve new communications programs these companies recently launched, said Dan Pecchia, company president.
“New investment in communications activity is a good sign of corporate confidence,” Pecchia said. “Much of the uptick we’ve observed over the past year from old and new clients suggests a growing optimism about business conditions. This supports much of the recent commentary we’ve read about an improving climate in northeastern Ohio, and we’re glad to see it.”
Pecchia Communications recently celebrated five years in business. More information is available at www.pecchiacomm.com.
FirstEnergy helps
akron
FirstEnergy Corp. utilities have sent more than 250 employees to Maryland and West Virginia to help restore electrical service to those affected by the heavy snow that hit the eastern United States.
In 2010, FirstEnergy and its employees were honored by the Edison Electric Institute with its “Emergency Assistance Award” for mutual assistance the company provided after a devastating ice- and snowstorm caused large-scale power outages in Kentucky and Ohio.
