Chase has promoted veteran banker John Batcho to lead its team of commercial bankers in Akron, Canton and Youngstown. Batcho, of North Canton, brings 27 years of commercial banking experience to his new role of division manager. He has served as an Akron-based senior banker specializing in foreign multinational corporate business since joining Chase in 2007. Before that, he served in senior commercial banking positions at First Merit, Fifth Third and Key banks. He earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Akron.

The PNC Financial Services Group Inc. has announced the appointment of Michael D. Mackin to market executive for PNC Wealth Management for Akron, Canton, Wooster and Youngstown. In this position, Mackin is responsible for leading the team of bankers to grow the bank’s wealth-management business in the region by expanding and deepening relationships with high-net-worth clients. Mackin has more than 27 years of banking experience, including previous roles as regional operations manager for KeyMortgage and mortgage sales manager for KeyBank. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and market manager for KeyBank, where he was responsible for serving the needs of high net worth clients in Akron, Canton and Youngstown. Mackin earned his business administration bachelor’s degree from University of Akron.

Strategic Valuation Group, a regional business valuation advisory and consulting firm, has promoted Todd Bryarly to Consulting Manager. Bryarly joined SVG in 2007 as a staff appraiser. Before joining SVG, Bryarly was an equity research analyst and vice president at National City Bank, a senior auditor of PNC Financial Services Group’s wealth management audit department and an equity research analyst at Zacks Investment Research, Inc. He earned a master of business administration degree from Youngstown State University and has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner designations. SVG is headquartered in Warren.

Cohen & Company, a regional CPA firm based in Cleveland with offices in Akron, Columbus and Youngstown, has promoted these staff members in its Youngstown office: Jami Blake to principal, accounting and auditing; Marc Mazzella to senior manager, tax; Lisa Damore to manager, accounting and auditing; Nicole Rococi to manager, tax; and Greg Speece to senior accountant, tax.

Donald R. Golding has been appointed as the new president and CEO of Hynes Industries. Golding attended the United States Naval Academy, received a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan and went to graduate school at Michigan’s Ross School of Business. William Bresnahan, president of Hynes Industries since 1989, has assumed the title of lead director. In addition to those board responsibilities, Bresnahan will also serve as sales & marketing manager for the company’s FlexAngle Division.
