Police are investigating the robbery of a 19-year-old woman walking on the East Side earlier this week.
The woman was walking along Sunshine Avenue on Wednesday night when a man pulled alongside her and asked for directions.
The woman told police she gave the man directions and continued to walk, but the man got out of the car and snatched her purse.
Reports say the man and woman fought over the purse, both falling to the ground. The man eventually took the purse and got back to his car and drove off, but left behind a pair of slippers he had been wearing.
