About 1,000 Ohio Edison customers in Mahoning County are without power this evening.
David Turner, Mahoning County area manager for Ohio Edison, said issues with a substation in the area caused power loss for about 1,000 customers in parts of Boardman and Youngstown Saturday evening.
Turner said the power went out around 7:15 p.m., and he anticipates power should be restored to all customers in the next hour.
Boardman police said about a dozen residents called to report the power loss.
