PARKERTOWN, Ohio — An Ohio man is facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 4 kilos of cocaine, valued at $400,000 during a traffic stop Wednesday in Erie County.

Troopers stopped a 2003 Ford F150 for a speed violation on the Ohio Turnpike, near milepost 110, at 6:13 p.m. Troopers observed criminal indicators and a patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the suspected cocaine.

The driver, Errick D. Phillips, 40, of Lyndhurst, was charged with possession of cocaine and trafficking in cociane, both first-degree felonies.

The suspect was incarcerated in the Erie County Jail. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison and a $40,000 fine.
