Girard man wins $10K for life in lottery scratch-off

GIRARD

Thomas R. Williams of Girard won a top prize, $10,000 a year for life, after scratching the Ohio Lottery’s instant game It’s a Wonderful Life.

Williams chose the cash option, $150,000 before taxes.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, he will receive a lump-sum payment of $103,500.

He purchased the ticket from Churchill Commons Giant Eagle.

Located at 4700 Belmont Ave. in Liberty. Churchill Commons Giant Eagle receives a $1,500 agent bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.
