A summary of recent criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:
CANFIELD
Jan. 18
Theft: A set of headphones in a box with all original packaging was stolen from a student’s locker at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive.
Drug trafficking: Police arrested Taylor Kline, 18, of 6368 Gibson Road, on a charge of trafficking in marijuana at Canfield High School.
Warrant: Police arrested Matthew Crowl, 32, of 513 Cherry St., Salem, on a warrant for failure to appear on a larceny charge.
AUSTINTOWN
Jan. 17
Theft: A Phillips flat screen television valued at between $468 and $500 was taken at Wal-Mart, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A Kodak camera was stolen from a home in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: An Ohio license plate was stolen from an auto in the 30 block of N. Raccoon Road.
Warrant: Bradley Ronci, 25, of 5637 London Drive, was arrested on a warrant for alleged theft.
Theft: A snowplow pump and motor were stolen from B&R Tire, 116 S. Meridian Road.
Jan. 18
Theft: A cell phone was stolen at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road, and recovered by Niles police.
Drug offense: Curtis Burns, 40, of 3820 W. Calla Road, Canfield, was arrested at Mahoning Avenue and Fitch Boulevard on charges of drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.
Drug offense: Police arrested Sara Knight, 24, of 9291/2 N. Market St., Lisbon, on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia at the Econo-Lodge, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive.
Fraud: A credit card was fraudulently debited $100 at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.
Theft: 70 Percocets were taken at a home in the 4000 block of Norquest Boulevard.
Theft: $42 in gasoline was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A gold diamond wedding ring valued at $5,000 was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Claridge Drive.
Warrant: Michael Burns, 31, 264 North Road, Niles, was arrested on a warrant for alleged forgery.
Identity fraud: A fraudulent insurance claim was reported in the 3000 block of Cannon Road.
Robbery: An unknown male suspect stole $262 from the BP UniMart, 3602 Mahoning Ave.
Jan. 19
Theft: A Optimus cell phone was reported stolen at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.
Stolen plates: The front and rear Ohio license plates on a vehicle were reported stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Boulevard.
Theft: A GPS and currency were stolen from an auto at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Burglary: There was no sign of forced entry at a home in the 40 block of Rosemont Avenue, but stolen were a television, DVD, X-Box and other items.
Lost or stolen: A lost or stolen wallet was found and returned at an apartment in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: An unknown number of impounded vehicles were disposed of with out approval at Jeswald’s, 6528 Mahoning Ave.
Warrant: Antoinette Ruiz, 41, of 28 N. Yorkshire Blvd., was arrested on a warrant for alleged theft.
Jan. 20
Lost or stolen plate: An Ohio license plate was reported lost or stolen at a home in the 1000 block of S. Raccoon Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle radiator hose was cut at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Jan. 21
Warrant: Mark Jones, 24, of 2711 S. Canfield-Niles Road, was arrested on a warrant for alleged breaking and entering.
Criminal damaging: Vinyl siding was damaged at a home in the 100 block of N. Navarre Avenue.
Theft: A wallet was taken at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road.
Jan. 22
Fraud: Unauthorized charges on a Visa debit account at Farmer’s National Bank were reported at a home in the 3000 block of Forty-Second St.
Theft: An AT&T Samsung Solstice cell phone was stolen at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road.
Assault: A male was assaulted by his girlfriend at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Warrant: Brian Kelly, 53, of 110 N. Beverly Ave., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.
Jan. 23
Burglary: A burglary was reported at an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.
Menacing: A female was threatened by another female at Austintown Township Hall, 82 Ohltown Road.
Assault: An 18-year-old female reported being assaulted by her 18-year-old boyfriend.
Lost or stolen purse: A woman reported her purse lost or stolen at an unknown location in the township.
