Ohio woman gets 105th-birthday wishes on Facebook

GENOA, Ohio

A northwest Ohio centenarian who didn’t even have a radio as a youngster is getting many celebratory wishes for her latest birthday through a very modern medium — Facebook.

Television station WTOL in Toledo reports Eunice Brillhart of Genoa turned 105 on Friday.

She says she checks her Facebook page almost daily and uses it to keep tabs on people she hasn’t seen in a while. Since her granddaughter set up the page a few months ago, Brillhart has learned to comment on photos and use other features of the social- networking site.

She lives in a retirement village and says she likes to keep busy by reading, watching TV and even using a Wii video gaming console to bowl. She says staying active has been a key to her longevity.
