Due to their great sales skills, eight Canfield Village Middle School band students were treated to a limo ride and lunch at Golden Corral restaurant in Boardman Jan. 14.

Middle school band students have been selling magazines throughout the community each fall for nearly 40 years. Students in grades five through eight are asked to participate in renewing subscriptions and selling new orders. They may sell to their neighbors, have Mom or Dad take it to work, canvass businesses or ask a relative out of state to help with the fundraiser.

Students who sell a certain number of orders qualify for the Limo Lunch. Other prizes are available for selling other set amounts, but the Limo Lunch is considered the top prize.

All proceeds stay with the Canfield Village Middle School band program.

“Canfield Village Middle School Bands would like to thank the community for supporting their fundraiser over the years,” said James Volenik, Canfield Village Middle School instrumental music and music appreciation teacher.
