Lions Clubs celebrate successful year

Neighbors | Submitted.The Lions, Lioness and their families and guests posed for a group photograph during the Dec. 13 Christmas party.2010 was a successful year for the Lions and Lioness Clubs as they were able to raise money for scholarships and provide eye exams and glasses for the needy.
The Austintown Lions and Lioness Clubs hosted their annual Christmas party at the Austintown Community Church Dec. 13.
The party was presided over by King Lion Larry Jensen and entertainment was provided by the renowned Youngstown Connection song and dance group.
The Lions and Lioness were very busy this past year raising money through a 5K run and a Sweetest Day rose sale.
The clubs have provided two scholarships at Fitch High School, eye exams and glasses for the needy, hosted eye screenings, volunteered with bell ringing for the Salvation Army throughout the holiday season and assisted at the Fred Perry Run.
