ASSOCIATIONS

Gold Wing Road Riders Asssociation will meet for supper at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Yankee Kitchen, 6635 Market St., Boardman. A meeting will begin at 6. There will be a swap-and-shop table. Wm. Penn Branch 28 of Youngstown will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Eat ’N Park in Boardman. The 2011 agenda will be prepared.

CLUBS

Mahoning Shenango Valley Historical Club will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday at the main library in Youngstown. The program will feature a discussion on the mayors of Youngstown.

Ohio Cultural Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 7 for dinner at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., Boardman. The speaker will be Dr. Martha Pallante, chairwoman of the history department at Youngstown State University. Carol Weakland will present an enactment of “The Scarlet Letter.” The cost is $15 for paid up members and $20 for nonmembers. Reservations can be mailed to OCA, P.O. Box 561, Canfield, OH 44406 by Feb. 1. Those attending are asked to take a nonperishable food item for a charity.

Poland Women’s Club will meet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Culinary Arts Center, 492 McClurg Road, Boardman. There will be a cooking class on wine and hors d’oeuvres. The cost is $40 per person. Guests are welcome.

Warren Women’s Connection will have a “Wrapped in Love” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 14 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Members are encouraged to wear a favorite apron in keeping with a special feature on the “History of Aprons” to be presented by Di Matijevic. Musical entertainment will be by Ellyn Temple, and Lisa Haley will speak on how to stay afloat when life capsizes you. The cost is $13 per person. Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, will host its annual Valentine Party beginning at 1 p.m. Feb. 6. Members are asked to take a casserole. Reservations will be taken until Friday Feb. 4; call 330-792-5124. There is a 5-dollar fee for members and for guests.

GRANGES

Dublin Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, with Michelle Combis in charge. The state Grange report will be given by Mr. and Mrs. Pat Sweely. Members are asked to take articles for Ohio deaf schools. Dues will be collected.

GUILDS

Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled a meeting of Southington So Sews for 9:30 a.m. Monday at Southington Christian Church, state Route 534, Southington. Rita Baugher will present a program on pins and needles. Contact 300-538-2819.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Altar and Rosary Society has rescheduled its Christmas party for Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the church. Reservations are due Sunday and can be made at 330-530-9802 or 330-530-4715. The ornament game will be played again.

Youngstown South Christian Women’s Club invites the public to a luncheon, “A Sweet Valentine,” from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 10 at Avion on the Water, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. F.O.C.U.S. (Friends Offering Compassionate Understanding Support) will have a new meeting beginning this month at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, 8401 Market St., Boardman. The meeting will be in the Cedar Room on the second floor, past the coffee shop. It can be reached by stairs or elevator. Parking is in the outpatient registration area.
