Annie Gillam to seek re-election

YOUNGStOWN

Councilwoman Annie Gillam, D-1st, plans to file nominating petitions Monday with the Mahoning County Board of Elections seeking re-election to a second term on city council.

Gillam, of Kimmel Street, succeeded her husband, Artis Gillam, on council in the 2007 general election.

The 1st Ward includes downtown and portions of the lower east and south sides of the city.

All seven members of council are up for re-election this year and all plan to run for another four-year term.
