A summary of criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Jan.4

Assault, theft: Police arrested Anthony Mansell, 19, of 11215 Columbiana-Canfield Road on charges of theft and assault, accusing him of forcibly taking a snow blower from a Fairground Boulevard man who was working to repair the blower for him. Payment for the work was not made.

Jan. 10

Drug possession: Police arrested Desirae Seidner, 19, of 6857 E. South Range Road, Petersburg, at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road on possession of drug paraphernalia and dangerous drugs. She was taken to the hospital and admitted after EMS personnel examined her.

Jan. 13

Drug abuse: Evan Hideg, 21, of 2161 Arms Drive, Girard, was arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found 16.5 grams of suspected marijuana.

Jan. 15

Theft: A 2011 Ford Focus was taken for a test drive and never returned at Fairway Ford, 366 W. Main St.

AUSTINTOWN

Jan. 10

Criminal damaging: The front lawn of a home in the 100 block of North Roanoke Avenue was damaged.

Telecommunications harassment: A woman is accused of making unwanted calls and text messages to her ex-boyfriend at at EconoLodge, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive.

Possible identity theft: A victim’s Social Security number was obtained at an undetermined location.

Aggravated robbery: An Ohio license, credit card, cash and a vehicle (which was later recovered) were stolen at an apartment in the 50 block of Westminister Drive.

Theft: $23 in gasoline was stolen at the BP gas station, 5502 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: A bank card was used fraudulently at a home in the 4000 block of Lanterman Road.

Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Deborah Grimes, 45, of 316 S. Inglewood Ave, Youngstown alleging disorderly conduct at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A television, computer and cash were stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Unauthorized use: Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Theft: A trailer with miscellaneous lawn equipment was taken from a home in the 3000 block of Bryant Drive.

Jan. 11

Liquor violation: A summons was issued to Brandon Getz, 31, 5541 London Drive, in the sale of an intoxicating liquor to a minor at O’Donold’s Irish Pub, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Disrupting public service: A temporary connection was removed from an electric meter at a home in the 3000 block of Artmar Drive.

Theft: A Wii system was stolen from an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West apartments.

Warrant: Matthew Hollobaugh, 39, of 209 Church Hill Road, Apt. 9, Girard, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a domestic-violence charge.

Warrant: Frank Crone, 32, 521 Western Place, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a larceny charge and on traffic charges.

Theft: An unidentified male is a suspect in a theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: William Smith, Sr., 56, of 1897 Oles Ave., Poland, was arrested on a warrant charging disruption of public service and violation of a protection order.

Jan. 12

Criminal damaging: Damage to vehicle tires was reported at a home in the 300 block of Artmar Drive.

Lost or stolen: A credit card was reported lost or stolen at Walgreens, 40 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: Frank J. Crone, 33, of 521 Western Place, was arrested in the theft of 13 boxes of Claritin valued at $311.87 at Rite Aid, 5498 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police arrested Bernita Carter, 30, of 209 Carroll St., Youngstown, charging her with stealing $189 worth of Similac at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A security guard is a suspect in a theft of two Craftsman wrenches valued at $25.98 at Kmart.

Criminal damaging: A tire was slashed on a vehicle at Infocision, 5749 Interstate Blvd.

Identity fraud: A Wal-Mart credit card was opened using fraudulent identity at an apartment in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A UPS delivery was stolen from a front porch at a home in the 4000 block of Pine Trace Drive.

Jan. 13

Warrant: Police arrested Arrow DePaul, 29, of 17 E. Prospect St., Girard on a warrant charging failure to appear on traffic charges.

Theft: A cell phone was stolen at Popeye’s, 6073 Mahoning Ave.

Jan. 14

Warrant: Police arrested James Reed, 21, of 3271 Red Fox Run Road, Warren, on a warrant for assault.

Warrant: Bradford Pirigyi, 35, of 1797 S. Raccoon Road was arrested on a warrant chagring drug abuse and workers’ compensation fraud.

Jan. 15

Drug offense: A summons was issued to Kelly Byrne, 30, of 1029 Patricia Drive, Girard, on a charge of possession of marijuana and Reiko McCann, 31, of 3664 Southwest Drive, Warren on possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Theft: A light was taken at a home in the 4000 block of Woodmere Drive.

Fraud: A Home Savings debit card was compromised at a home in the 6000 block of New Road.

Theft: Two males took clothing and drove away at Walmart.

Jan. 16

Theft: A purse was stolen containing cash and various cards at Marc’s, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Assault: A woman was assaulted at Club Gossip, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A .45 caliber Baretta was taken from a home in the 4000 block of Barrington Drive.

Criminal damaging: Shelving was damaged at Walgreens, 40 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: A wallet and contents were stolen from an auto in a parking lot in the 20 block of N. Wickliffe Circle.
