Warren man shot outside convenience store

WARREN

D’marco Harper, 19, of Warren, was taken by ambulance to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital after being hit by a gunshot to the chest or shoulder area outside a convenience store on West Market Street on Wednesday morning.

Harper was leaving Rocky’s AM/PM Market at West Market Street and Iowa Avenue Northwest about 10:50 a.m. when a man fired at him, said Detective Sgt. Jeff Cole of the Warren Police Department.

The gunman got into the passenger seat of a dark blue sport utility vehicle and fled. Police continue to investigate and don’t know what led to the shooting.

Cole said he didn’t know the extent of Harper’s injuries, and the hospital said it had no record of him.
