CORTLAND

Lakeview led throughout the fourth quarter, although Hubbard pulled within one in the last few minutes in the AAC White Tier game. Junior forward Louie Novakovich scored 15 points, junior guard Zach McDivitt had 14 points, senior guard Elliot Metheny tallied 11 points and Austin Haines had 10 for the Bulldogs (7-5, 1-1). Mike Lopuchovsky had a game-high 17 points for Hubbard (4-5, 0-2).

South Range 52, Lisbon 29

BEAVER TWP.

Andy Lacefield had 20 points and five steals for the Raiders (7-2, 5-1), who pulled within a half-game of Crestview in the Inter Tri-County League Tier One standings. The Rebels are 6-1 in the league. Mike Thorpe and Dan Good each added nine points and Isaac Schuster had seven rebounds for South Range, which led 32-12 at halftime. Chad Bosel had eight rebounds and Ben Spencer and Zack Rovnak each added seven points for the Blue Devils (2-8, 2-4).

Lowellville 48, Crestview 35

COLUMBIANA

Leading 21-16 at the half the Rockets’ (6-3) outscored the Rebels 15-3 in the third quarter after forcing seven turnovers and holding Crestview scoreless over the last five minutes. Anthony Alfano had a game-high 19 for the Rockets, 14 of which came in the second half. Dean Donatelli added 14 points, including 8 in the third. Brian Orr had 9 points for Crestview (9-2) and C.J. Collins added 8. Despite a slow start the Rebels were able to stay in the game by outrebounding the Rockets 18-12 in the first half, but finished the game with only one more (28-27).

East Palestine 94, Leetonia 82

EAST PALESTINE

As part of it season-high point total, East Palestine (7-2) made plenty of layups during a 38-of-65 field goal-shooting night in the non-league contest. Six-eight senior Corey Wright had 30 points, 13 rebounds and 12 blocked shots, while Adam Robb also had 13 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Cody Stokes’ game-high 35 points led Leetonia (1-10).

Lordstown 50, Western Reserve 44

BERLIN CENTER

Steven Cribley scored 18 points to lead three Red Devils in double figures. Zack Wells added 12 points and Mike Shaffer 10 as Lordstown (5-6) outscored Reserve 18-14 in the fourth quarter to hold on for the win. Thomas Benyo scored 14 and Payton Snyder 12 for Reserve (1-11).

Garfield 72, Bristol 68

BRISTOLVILLE

Cody Berg scored 29 points, Sebastian Neikirk had 12 and James Dickey 11 for Garfield, which outscored Bristol 36-31 in the second half. Andrew Holko had 23, Josh Double 18 and Aaron Hopson 10 for Bristol (1-9), which made just 3 of 7 free throws in the fourth.

Howland 65, Beaver Local 43

LISBON

The Tigers got out to an early lead and held on to remain undefeated in the All-American Conference’s Red Tier. Leading the way for the Tigers (7-4, 3-0 AAC Red) was T.J. Lanier with a game-high 23 points. Also scoring in the double figures for Howland were Dontea Dawson with 14 points and Dominic Termine with 11. Leading the way for the winless Beavers (0-10, 0-2 AAC Red) was Troy Hudson with 18 points. Ryan Smith had eight.

Salem 65, United 42

HANOVERTON

Taylor Frederickson’s 18 points paced the Quakers (6-3) and teammates Ryan Bush added 16 points to the cause. Jake Madison also had 10 points for Salem, who outscored United in all four quartesrs. The Eagles were led by Jansen Sneltzer, who scored 11 points.

West Branch 51, Alliance 39

BELOIT

Tyler Rockwell scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Warriors to their fifth Northeastern Buckeye Conference win. The team (4-6, 3-5) also got nine points from Matt Latham and eight points each from Austin Rekolt and Chad Apple. Leading the way for the Aviators (5-6, 4-4) was Jalen Mays with 14 points.

Wadsworth 70, Canfield 54

WADSWORTH

Prescott Williams led all scorers with 21 points to even the Grizzlies’ record to 5-5. Danny Campolito had 15 points and Jake Ferrier had 13 for the Cardinals, which dropped to 1-10.

Poland 72, Streetsboro 64

RAVENNA

Poland jumped out to a 24-9 lead, but Streetsboro battled back to within three late in the game, which was switched to the old Ravenna High gym due to a fire in Streetsboro. Six-one junior swingman Colin Reardon had a season-high 36 points and 12 rebounds for his eighth double-double. Senior Darius Patton added 14 points and senior Ben Tadla had 10 for the Bulldogs (7-2). Ben Geney’s 26 points paced Streetsboro (6-3).
