BREAKING NEWS: One in custody in L.A. high school shooting

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Los Angeles Unified School District spokesman says two students were wounded in an accidental shooting at a high school.

The account differs from information from local police who say three people were wounded this morning at Gardena High.

KTLA-TV has shown one youth in police custody.

District spokesman Robert Alaniz tells KCBS-TV that a student brought a gun to school in a backpack and it went off when he dropped it.

Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Jamie Moore tells The Associated Press that two victims have been transported, one in serious condition and one in critical condition.
