Mount Union 74, Baldwin Wallace 70

Ben Hodkinson and Dave Pellerite each scored 17 points in an Ohio Athletic Conference game in the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex in Alliance. The victory was the third straight for the Purple Raiders (8-8, 6-3). Mount Union also received 16 points from junior forward Matt Wier and 12 from junior forward Jimmy Wood. Pellerite also had 11 rebounds. The Yellow Jackets (7-8, 3-5) got 18 points out of Zane Meeder, and 12 more from Kevin Krakowiak. Freshman forward Kyle Payne had 10.

WOMEN

Mount Union 65, Grove City 43

GROVE CITY, PA.

Down by as many as nine points in the first half and seven at halftime, the nationally ranked Mount Union women’s basketball team outscored Grove City, 41-12 in the second half. Katie Crider came off the bench and hit four three-pointers, three in the second half, as part of a team-best 13-point effort.
