Dip into Milton to fight cancer

LAKE MILTON

The American Cancer Society Northeast Ohio Region’s annual “BRR For a Cure Polar Bear Plunge” is Saturday at Craig Beach in Lake Milton State Park. Registration is at 12:30 p.m., and the plunge will begin at 2 p.m. Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $25. Proceeds go to ACS.

Ice on a portion of Lake Milton will be chopped away and removed for the plunge. Emergency-medical technicians and other personnel from the Milton Township Fire Department will be in the water at all times to ensure a safe environment. To further ensure safety, only a small group of people will be permitted to jump or walk into the water at one time.
