Junior British Alexander and sophomore Reece Mabery both scored 19 points, as Bethany overcame a five-point halftime deficit in the Presidents Athletic Conference Tournament championship game on Saturday. Leading the Bison (21-7) was Mabery, who matched his season-high in points and made three steals, and Alexander, who also amassed 12 rebounds, five blocked shots and five steals. Also hitting for double figures was James Barton, who scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half on 3-for-3 shooting from the arc and foul line, and sophomore Brady Pacific who notched 11 points and three assists. For the Tomcats, Devon Adams made five three-pointers to total 15 points and five assists while Aundra Jones recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. The win gave the Bison a conference-record 13th PAC title, as well as the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. It will be BC’s sixth NCAA appearance and seventh consecutive postseason trip.
