BANKING

The Home Savings and Loan Company has promoted three employees and hired one.

Stacey L. Freedman has been promoted to assistant vice president of consumer loan servicing, Michele James has been promoted to assistant vice president of accounting and finance and Cynthia Zapata has been promoted to assistant vice president of residential mortgage operations. Barbara Radis has been hired as senior vice president of retail banking.

Freedman was previously a consumer loan processor, underwriter and servicing-system support analyst. She has worked for Home Savings since 2003. An Ohio licensed real-estate appraiser, Freedman attended John Carroll University and Youngstown State.

James, who has been with the company since 2004, previously oversaw budget management and the forecasting process for Home Savings. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kent State.

Zapata previously served as operations manager for the wholesale lending division. She attended Scottsdale Community College and has been at Home Savings since 2004.

Radis comes to Homes Savings from Lorain National Bank, where she most recently served as director of retail administration and retail branches. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from John Carroll University.

INSURANCE

Gem-Young Insurance and Financial Services, Inc. has promoted Richard Novotny to personal lines insurance sales manager. Novotny, a Gem-Young employee since 1972, began his career at the company as an agent selling auto, home, business and life insurances.

MEDICAL

Warren Chiropractic & Pain Management has hired a new pain-management specialist. Dr. Tamyra L. Mouginis has a medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospitals in Cleveland and The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland.

FUNERAL HOMES

Lane Funeral Homes has promoted Anthony Nacarato to assistant manager of its Austintown chapel. Nacarato, a Lane employee since 2003, has a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State and a degree from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

The funeral home has also promoted Steven Gerberry to manager of its Mineral Ridge chapel. Previously, Gerberry served as manager of the Niles chapel. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2000 and has been with Lane since 1996.

Gerberry received an associate’s degree from Youngstown State and a degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.

MARKETING

InfoCision has promoted two employees. Brian Lockhart is now a senior account representative for the Akron-based firm’s nonprofit division. Lockhart will assist the company’s nonprofit clients in developing marketing campaigns. He will also train program supervisors and communicators and work with the call-center management team.

Jill Avery has been promoted to senior director of call center operations. She will be responsible for implementing new or revised policies in the company’s call centers. Avery began her career with the company as a program supervisor in 1997.
