BRR: Take a dip in Lake Milton on Saturday to help cancer society

The American Cancer Society Northeast Ohio Region’s annual “BRR For a Cure Polar Bear Plunge” is Saturday at Craig Beach in Lake Milton State Park. Registration is at 12:30 p.m., and the plunge will begin at 2 p.m. Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $25. Proceeds go to the ACS..

Ice on a portion of Lake Milton will be chopped away and removed for the plunge. Emergency medical technicians and other personnel from the Milton Township Fire Department will be in the water at all times to ensure a safe environment for all participants. To further ensure safety, only a small group of people will be permitted to jump or walk into the water at one time.
