Cene Park a haven for college hopefuls

Fanfare:

Cene Park offers young boys from the ages of 13 through 18 of our community the opportunity to play the great game of baseball.

We are home to Cardinal Mooney, Lowellville, Struthers and Ursuline high schools. In the summer, we are home to the Youngstown Class B league which consists of 30 teams. We hold the Connie Mack, N.A.B.F., C.A.B.A., Pony and Triple Crown tournaments.

More than 3,000 young men play here in close to 975 games a year. Cene Park has three major league-size lighted fields with scoreboards and dugouts. The complex is maintained by the donations of our community and the great volunteers who coach these young men.

These 3,000 young men are the future of the USA! They spend an average of four hours a week in the winter workouts and play five games a week during summer ball.

Instead of hanging around street corners and getting into trouble, they spend their time learning teamwork and improving their baseball skills to improve their college scholarships monies.
