Little Falcons to host fundraiser

The Austintown Little Falcons will host a pasta dinner March 5 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Austintown.

The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

Visitors can participate in the 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction. Proceeds benefit the Little Falcons football players and cheerleaders. Takeout dinners are available.

AMS Blue team falls to Boardman Center

The Austintown Middle School eighth-grade boys basketball team finished the season 7-9 after a 40-36 loss to Boardman Center Feb. 14.

Derrin Hall led the Falcons with 16 points. Deonte Brown put in 10, Patrick Gerberry five and Nathan Shivley four.

Fitch bowlers finish third

The Austintown Fitch varsity girls bowling team finished third at the sectionals at Freeway Lanes in Warren.

Vickie Berquist bowled 206, 247-648, Katie Viglio rolled 198-561, Delorean Jones scored 202-516 and Kristen Dota got 201. Their total pin fall for three regular games and six Bakers games was 3,787.
