Holy Family school honors teacher with service award

Holy Family teacher Marjorie Downie was awarded the school’s Distinguished Service Award for her years of Catholic education support during a Catholic Schools’ Week mass.

Downie was recognized for her contribution to those in need through the Marjorie Downie Scholarship.

Principal Christine Kijowski spoke during the service and expressed how grateful the school was for the love and loyalty Downie has given to the students throughout the years.

The award is given annually to someone who has shown outstanding service attributes through dedication, time commitment, financial means or volunteerism.
