Police await ruling in man’s death

Township police are awaiting word from the Mahoning County coroner in the death of a man found naked outside his home Wednesday.

“Unless they find anything, we don’t really have anything going,” said Lt. Robert Schaeffer, who noted that the man had recently complained of flu symptoms.

Guy Albrecht, 58, was discovered on his side in his backyard by his ex-wife and son, who came to check on him when he did not return phone calls. Albrecht’s ex-wife had recently spoken with Albrecht, who said he had the flu. Albrecht’s home was locked, and inside police found two cats and a German shepherd in good condition. The television was on along with a heating pad on the couch next to some blankets.
