McDonald senior Katie Joseph won the 100-yard freestyle title at Friday's Division II state swim meet at C.T. Branin Natatorium.
Joseph swam a 51.45 to edge Gates Mills Gilmour Academy freshman Macie McNichols, who finished in 51.54.
It was the first state title for Joseph, who has finished in the top eight in two events at all four state meets in her career.
Maplewood senior Jordan Moxley, who earlier won the 50 free title, finished fifth in the 100 free with a time of 52.22.
