Tax-training courses are set

One Step to Life Inc., 3610 Southern Blvd., will start tax-clinic training courses and is still the provider of free income-tax filing.

The Ohio Benefit Bank is in partnership with One Step to Life in fulfilling a wide variety of neighborhood needs.

OBB is an Internet-based, counselor-assisted service that connects low- and moderate-income families to tax credits and work supports, according to its website. On Wednesday and Thursday, One Step to Life will conduct free tax-clinic training from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for all those interested in learning how to file their income taxes.

The organization also will file income taxes for free for low- and middle-income taxpayers.

One Step provides positive self-encouragement and awareness in young adults and children within the community through public newsletter including motivational speaking and nonviolence alternative workshops.

Ohio Benefit Bank also is working with One Step to provide the following:

Assistance with foreclosure relief.

Assistance with utility bills.

Assistance with applying for county assistance.

Investigating eligibility for certain programs, grants and loans.
