Police investigated an early Thursday shooting on the North Side that injured a 19-year-old city man and an 8:30 p.m. Thursday shooting on the East Side that injured a 43-year-old city man.

The 19-year-old went to a relative’s home on Delaware Avenue about 1:40 a.m. after being hit by gunfire on a side street on the North Side, the man said. He told police he didn’t know who shot him.

The relative drove the victim to the hospital. Police could not find a blood trail on Delaware or anywhere in a four-block radius of the house.

St. Elizabeth Health Center had no record of the man Friday evening.

The 43-year-old said a man he knows shot him in the shoulder as he was standing outside of his car on Woodcrest Avenue.

The victim said he heard four shots and got into his car, put it into reverse and drove to his home. He later was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center. The hospital had no record of him Friday evening.

Neighbors witnessed the shooting, saying the shooter ran away from the scene on foot.
