New disaster siren to be added in Hubbard's Harding Park area

Trumbull County Emergency Management Agency has notified the township that a grant application for one additional siren in the Harding Park area has been approved by the federal government.

Fred Hanley, grants administrator, said the award is a 50/50 match; half of the $22,000 cost will be from the township’s general fund. The siren, which should be in place by midyear, is another asset in the tornado/disaster warning system for the city and township.
