Warren man attacked with gun, hammer in home robbery

WARREN

A 30-year-old Paige Avenue Northeast man was treated at St. Joseph Health Center for injuries to his head and hand after a man he knew and two other men entered his home and demanded money at gunpoint at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The suspect hit the victim in the head with the handgun after the victim laughed at him.

One of the other men tried to strike the victim in the leg with a hammer, but the victim stopped the blow with his hand.

The victim had a cut on his ear, police said.

The men left after taking $600 in cash.
