Clothing and food giveaway at Mission

WARREN

Warren Family Mission, 361 Elm Road NE, has clothing and food giveaways on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Consumers should bring a photo ID to receive food bags, which are limited to once a month. Also, the Mission offers community meals Monday through Friday. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 9 a.m.; lunch, 11:30 a.m. to noon, and dinner, 4 to 4:30 p.m. Dinners are also served from 4 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

Shoe giveaway

BOARDMAN

More than 700 pairs of new and nearly new shoes, donated by patients, employees and podiatrists during a shoe drive led by Ankle & Foot Care Centers from late November to mid-January, will be distributed to families in Mahoning and Trumbull counties by the Salvation Army.

Weight loss seminar

Speaker to discuss addiction recovery

Dr. Abraham J. Twerski, founder and medical director emeritus of Gateway Rehab, Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic’s parent organization, is the featured speaker for NKRC’s eighth annual Fellowship Brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 13 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road. Dr. Twerski will discuss integrating the processes to sustain recovery from drug or alcohol addiction including 12-step programs, treatment options, personal challenges and family dynamics.
