POLICE CALLS

A summary of criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Feb. 7

Drug abuse: Police charged Curtis Elliot, 28, of 9628 Bear Hollow Drive, Deerfield, with drug abuse of marijuana and methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, including a silver pipe with marijuana residue and a glass container containing methamphetamine after his arrest at East Main Street and Fairground Boulevard.

Feb. 9

Disorderly conduct: A Canfield High school administrator told police a student had pushed a teacher at the school, 100 Cardinal Drive.

Feb. 11

Bad check: An employee at Bernard Daniels Lumber Co., 250 Railroad St., reported a customer paid for items that totaled more than $1,000 and the check bounced.

AUSTINTOWN

Feb. 7

Theft: A drug prescription was stolen at a home in the 60 block of North Raccoon Road.

Burglary: Pills and a watch were stolen in a burglary at a home in the 40 block of North Yorkshire Boulevard.

Warrant: Police arrested William Clay Jr., 31, of 3 Kings Drive SW, Warren, on a warrant for parole violation.

Theft: An employee was short-changed out of $28 at Sunrise Pizza, 5205 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police charged Stephen Clume Jr., 61, of 559 Meadowland, Hubbard, with theft after taking items from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested June Stephenson, 58, of 3835 Mahoning Ave., on a warrant for misuse of 911 at her address.

Feb. 8

Lost or stolen: A key ring with a vehicle and house keys on it was stolen in the driveway at a home in the 1000 block of Brockton Drive.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a vacant home and took light fixtures in the 4000 block of Shadow Oak.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Terri Fox, 39, of 606 S. Walnut St., Ravenna, for theft of clothing, hobby items and carrying a concealed weapon, a knife at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A Samsung cell phone was stolen at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Menacing: A security guard is suspected of menacing at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: $80 was stolen from a dollar-bill validator and the machine was damaged at Little Joe’s Car Wash, 1105 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Assault: A person was assaulted by two men at an apartment at Phoenix House.

Recovered property: A wallet was recovered at an apartment in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Assault: A man is a suspect in an assault at home in the 40 block of North Yorkshire Boulevard.

Feb. 9

Aggravated menacing: A man is accused of aggravated menacing at a home in the 2000 block of Redgate Lane.

Theft: A lost or stolen cell phone was sold to the victim at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Burglary: A Craftsman snow blower was taken from a home in the 4000 block of Nottingham Avenue.

Drug offense: Police charged Samuel Cianciola Jr., 42, of 4470 Green Glen Drive, Boardman, with possession of cocaine and drug abuse instruments after his arrest in the parking lot at Compass West apartments.

Theft: Police charged Benjamin Shirley, 27, of 59 Queens Drive, Warren, with the theft of $151.32 in batteries at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Kevin Thompson, 28, of 933 Alden Ave., Youngstown on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Theft: A temporary tag was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 900 block of Compass West.

Aggravated menacing: A suspect pointed a gun at a person at The Manor, 3104 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized purchases were made on the victim’s JCPenney account and jewelry was stolen from the victim at a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive.

Feb. 10

Theft: An iPod with a clear case was stolen from an auto parked at Fitch High School.

Identity theft: An auto loan, construction loan and other loans were taken out in the victim’s name at a home in the 3000 block of Huntmere Avenue.

Theft: Police charged Carl Wallace, 42, of 538 Idora Ave., Youngstown, with the theft of two bottles of body spray valued at $11.58 at Rite Aid, 5498 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: Two 14-inch vehicle tires were punctured at the Walmart Auto Center, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police charged Lori Jordan, 42, of 1161 S. Raccoon Road, with the theft of a purse and creamer at Walmart.

Feb. 11

Criminal damaging: Lawn damage was reported at township park, 6000 Kirk Road.

Feb. 12

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Marquise Davis, 21, of 602 Clearmont Ave., Youngstown, for possession of marijuana. He was arrested on a traffic warrant in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Warrant: Police issued warrants to Edward Wheeler, 23, of 11140 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, New Middletown and Lisa Andrews, 23, same address, for theft and child endangering at Walgreens at Tippecanoe and Canfield roads.

Theft: A wallet was recovered but two credit cards were missing at Rulli Bros., 4331 Kirk Road.

Felonious assault: A woman was struck with an unidentified object and needed eight stitches above the eye at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road.

Feb. 13

Assault: A man was head-butted in the face at Club Gossip, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Robbery: A purse was stolen at Club Gossip. Two women are accused.

Criminal damaging: A flower arrangement was damaged at Resurrection Cemetery, 300 N. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A TomTom GPS system, and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Staatz Drive.

Criminal damaging: Water was placed in a fuel tank at O’Donold’s, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated menacing: Telephone threats were reported at a home in the 3000 block of Sandburg Drive.

Assault: Two women were involved in an altercation at the Ice House Inn, 5516 Webb Road.
