Ohio man charged with posing as lawyer at jail

MEDINA, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a man used an attorney’s business card to try to see a jail inmate and wound up behind bars on criminal charges.

The Medina County sheriff’s office says 30-year-old Troy Geer of Medina went to the jail Tuesday to see an inmate and presented the business card of an attorney with another name.

The sheriff’s office says Geer was uncooperative and appeared drunk. He was charged with drunken disorderly conduct and obstructing official business and was locked up in the jail.

No attorney for him was listed in court dockets.
