All the details of a local couple’s wedding are up for vote in the coming months.

Tricia Kren and Troy Litwiler of Poland are hoping the public is kind as they choose everything from the flowers to the bride’s dress through online voting for their summer wedding.

“I keep telling her she could be getting married in a big, purple dress,” Litwiler said, joking.

The engaged couple won a national competition Monday for an “I Love Lucy”-themed wedding set for July 30.

“I can’t believe it,” Kren said. “We had a third of the votes.”

Rebecca Rosen, director of MediaOneBridal.com, a primary sponsor of the competition, said 72,000 votes were cast during 55 days of online voting, and the couple received about 23,000 of them.

The prize package includes a wedding gown, rings, two bridesmaid dresses, two groomsmen tuxes, flowers, a cake, a catered reception with live music for 50 guests and a seven-day honeymoon to Niagara Falls. The ceremony will take place in Lucille Ball’s hometown of Jamestown, N.Y.

Kren, 24, became a fan of the show when she used to watch it with her grandmother growing up. She has a large collection of memorabilia from the show, and the couple even named their pet turtles Lucy and Desi.

She and her fianc , Litwiler, 32, planned to get married in spring 2012 until Kren found out about the competition.

Rosen called each of the brides before the announcement Monday morning to tell them whether they’d won. She said Kren was overjoyed at the news.

“She couldn’t believe it. And she started to cry,” Rosen said.

The four couples who did not win received consolation prizes including weekend trips and unique artifacts from the TV show.
