City man charged with aggravated robbery, drug possession

YOUNGSTOWN — A city man is in Mahoning County jail on a $22,500 bond after police say he tried to force two women to withdraw money from an ATM at gunpoint.

David Johnson, 26, of Clyde Street, appeared today before Magistrate Anthony Sertick of Youngstown Municipal Court for arraignment on two counts of robbery and a drug possession charge.

Prosecutors told the magistrate Johnson already has a disorderly conduct charge pending in the court.

Sertick ordered Johnson jailed on a $7,500 bond on each charge. Johnson is unemployed, and the magistrate ordered for him a court-appointed lawyer.
