Middle school girls fall to Howland
The Poland seventh-grade girls basketball team lost to Howland 26-23 on Dec. 19. Emily Melnek led the Bulldogs with nine points. Carlie Lattanzio added four and Emily Cammack and Julia Cooper each had three points.
Poland girls defeat Canfield
The Poland seventh-grade girls basketball team beat rival Canfield 23-9 on Dec. 21. Emily Melnek and Julia Cooper both scored eight for Poland. Jillian Penman added four points to help the Bulldogs to victory.
