The Canfield High School gymnasium was the site of the recent Meet the Team event where the boys basketball teams were introduced to the public.
The event started with the seventh and eighth-grade teams, followed by freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams. The boys went through a series of drills and small scrimmages which showcased some of their skills.
The freshman, junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders also performed as the school celebrated the official start of the season.
The boys basketball boosters made a special presentation to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of past president, Brock Ferrier. He passed away from cancer this summer, leaving behind his wife, Linda, and sons, Jake and Vincent.
Jake and Vincent accepted the plaque which will be placed in the permanent basketball trophy case at the high school.
