ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 17 in the gathering room at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. After the business meeting, there will be entertainment by Chaney High School student Alexis Shellow, accompanied by her teacher, Anthony Ruggerio. The $12 luncheon will be served at noon. McDonald Midget Football Boosters will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the community room at the post office building.

McDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school.

AUXILIARIES

Auxiliary to VFW Post 3538, Struthers, will meet at 5 p.m. Monday for a meeting and Christmas party. Pizza and salad will be provided. Anyone wishing to may take food to share. For more information call 330-755-2701.

St. Anthony Auxiliary of Struthers will meet at noon Monday at Olive Garden, 853 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman, for its annual Christmas party. Telephone committee members will call for reservations. Dues should be paid by this meeting, and there will be the annual charitable Christmas collection for Second Harvest Food Bank. President Arlene DeChellis will meet with new officers in January.

St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will meet Monday at noon in the private dining room. The program will be Santa and friends. New members are welcome.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1963 will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Bedford Trails, 713 Bedford Road, Coitsville.

Women of South High School Class of 1956 will not meet in December. The luncheons will resume in January.

Woodrow Wilson High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman.

Mahoning Valley Retreads will meet Dec. 17 at Denny’s, 154 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. Dinner will be at 1 p.m., and a meeting will follow. Renewal forms for 2012 will be available; cost is $10 per person/$15 per couple. GUILDS

Holborn Herb Growers Guild will host its Christmas dinner at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at Avion on the Water, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Officers will be installed at the meeting.

Youngstown Area Weavers Guild will meet for its annual Christmas luncheon at noon Wednesday at McMenamy’s, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Community Christian Women will meet at 12:30 p.m. Monday at The Nazarene Church in Columbiana. The American Spirit Academy choir will present a Christmas program. SINGLES

DARE Singles Group, a social group for divorced, widowed, and separated people, meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, across from Giant Eagle. The following activities are planned: Tuesday, dance classes at Judy Conti’s in Austintown, 7 p.m.; Wednesday, volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank, 5 to 7 p.m.; and Thursday, small talk at the church, 7:30 p.m.

Shenango Valley Singles will have a Singles Christmas Holiday Dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Juniper Village at Shenango Inn, 1330 Kimberly Road, Sharon, Pa. Couples are welcome. SOCIETIES

The Civil War Roundtable of the Mercer County Historical Society, 119 S. Pitt St., Mercer, Pa., will present a program on the battle of Antietam and related events from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The doors open at 6:30, and the program will be presented by Ralph Dorman. The roundtable meets the second Tuesday of each month from September through May.
