ASSOCIATIONS

Tri-Gold Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet Dec. 14 at the Boardman Holiday Inn for its annual Christmas party. A social at 5:30 p.m. will precede the dinner at 6. The cost is $21.50, and dinner choices are Swiss steak, chicken francaise or baked scrod. There will be entertainment, and members are asked to take cookies to taste and exchange.

Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will meet at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 at Springfield Grille in Boardman. The evening will begin with dinner followed by musical entertainment provided by students from Youngstown State University Dana School of Music . ATHLETIC GROUPS

McDonald Baseball Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

AUXILIARIES

Sulmona Valley Auxiliary will have its annual Christmas party at 6 p.m. Monday at Caff Capri in Boardman. The telephone committee will be taking reservations for members and guests. Chairwomen are Sandy Redeske, president, and Mary Mazzocca.

BOOSTERS

Girard Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school cafeteria.

BUREAUS

Trumbull County Farm Bureau’s annual Christmas party will begin at 2 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Opera House, 152 Park Ave., Cortland. The organization will provide fried chicken, table service and beverages. Members are asked to take their favorite covered dish to share. Entertainment will be The Youngstown Connection and Santa. Members are asked to take a wrapped shoe box (wrapped so that the lid can be removed) filled with items for an elderly person. A collection of goodies to add to the boxes also will be taken. Suggested items are lotions, cards, postage stamps, large print books, crossword puzzles, candies and cough drops. The event is for farm bureau members. CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s, 154 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. All classmates and spouses are invited.

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1950 will meet from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bedford Trails.

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1955 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday at What’s Cookin’ Restaurant in the Matthews Square Plaza on South Avenue. Classmates, spouses and guests are welcome. The class will have its annual Christmas party at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Dona Vito’s Italian Grille, 139 Bridge St., Struthers. North High School Class of 1958 will meet at 11 a.m. Dec. 12 at Bedford Trails. Members and spouses are welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Landmark Restaurant, 7424 Market St., Boardman. Classmates and guests are welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1953 will have a Christmas party at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 19 at Johnny’s on Market Street in Boardman. Call Carolyn Yurak at 330-519-8458 for reservations. Guests are welcome.

CLUBS

American Hungarian Club on Donald Avenue will have a Christmas party for members and guests from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The meal is being furnished by the club; members are asked to take casseroles and/or baked goods. The memorial Christmas tree will be lighted and decorated with bulbs in memory of family members. Carols, bingo, door prizes and a 50-50 raffle will follow.

Kent State University Mothers Club will have a Christmas party at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Trotter’s Chase (Building 300), 695 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland. Members are asked to take a casserole and table service. In lieu of a gift exchange, a monetary donation will be accepted toward a worthy cause to be determined at the event. There also will be an afghan raffle. Hostesses are Janet Chittock, Billie Wetzel, Jen Luscre and Mary Schaade. Current members will be contacted for reservations. Poland Center Homemakers will meet for a Christmas party at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Friendly’s in Poland. There will be no meeting in January.

Poland Women’s Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Tippecanoe Country Club. The annual Christmas luncheon will be served at noon. There will be a $15 gift exchange. Guests are welcome.

Warren Women’s Connection will sponsor a “Gift of Friendship” luncheon from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren.The guest speaker will be Almedah Evans, presenting “Building Lasting Friendships,” and Chris Mowery will share Christmas music from his new album. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Christian Coalition of Mercer County will not meet in December. The next regular meeting will be Jan. 10.

Girard K. of C. Men, Council No. 2935, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the K. of C. Hall, 122 S. State St.

Junior Seton Circle will meet at noon Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield. The program will be presented by Dr. Sherry Linkon on preserving family memories. The social committee is in charge of the meeting. The social service collection will be for the needy at Christmas. There will be no January meeting.

McDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.

Seton III will meet Thursday at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave., Boardman. There will be a social at 11:30 and a Christmas luncheon at noon. A Christmas program will be presented by the social committee. In charge are Dorothy Krispinsky, Dottie Cerimele, Jeanne Foley, Sue Johnson and Ann Marie Morley. Several needy families will be given gift certificates for dinners.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.

SERVICE CLUBS

Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St., Girard.

SINGLES

DARE Singles Group is a social group for divorced, widowed, and separated people. The group meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, across from Giant Eagle. The following activities are planned: Tuesday, dance classes at 7 p.m. at Judy Conti’s in Austintown; Wednesday, walking at Southern Park Mall, meet at food court at 6 p.m.; Thursday, speaker from Better Business Bureau at 7:30 p.m. at the church; Dec. 9, Christmas dance at The Elm Tree, cost $28 per person; Dec. 10, bowling at Boardman Lanes at 7:30 p.m.

SOCIETIES

The Historical Society of McDonald will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the conference room of the Children’s Rehabilitation Center, 855 Howland-Wilson Road. For more information call 330-788-9755.

Reformers Unanimous, a national Christ-centered addictions program headquartered in Rockford, Ill., meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Fridays at Glenwood Christian Fellowship, 7872 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. The program is open to all adults who struggle with an addiction or a stubborn habit.

TOPS 1237, Austintown, will meet Thursday at Idaho Road Alliance Church, 250 Idaho Road, across from Frank Ohl Middle School. Weigh-in is from 5 to 5:30 p.m., followed by the meeting until 6:30. For further information call 330-758-4923

TOPS 1262, McDonald, meets Wednesdays in the senior citizens room at the post office building. Weigh-in is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., and the meeting will follow. New members are welcome.

UPMC Horizon has scheduled a meeting of the Multiple Sclerosis Support Group at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Greenville (Pa.) Campus.

VETERANS
