The faculty union at Youngstown State University said the final best offer presented by YSU calls for take-home pay cuts of $5,000 to $10,000 per member.
“At the end of the three-year contract, faculty will be much worse off than they would have been had the Board of Trustees accepted the concessions in the fact finder’s report,” Stan Guzell, chief negotiator for the faculty union, said in a statement.
The union is expected to vote on the administration’s proposal Thursday afternoon.
