THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, is serving homemade Chinese lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays. This week’s menu will feature teriyaki chicken or oriental salad. The cost of the meal is $6. No reservations are necessary.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will have an all-you-can-eat breakfast or brunch from 7 to 10 a.m. The buffet will include eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. The Word of Life Church of God in Christ, 2969 Carbone St., Youngstown, will serve barbecue rib and chicken dinners beginning at noon. The meals will include string beans, macaroni and cheese, bread, sweet potato pie or pound cake for dessert, and pop. Cost is $10. SUNDAY

Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 3919 Southern Blvd., at Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown, will have an all-you-can-eat corn and hot dog dinner. The meal also will include pie and beverage for a cost of $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Takeout is available. Proceeds will benefit the church mission and church repairs.

Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and younger. All proceeds benefit the church’s repair fund to pay for the elevator installation and restoration of the stained glass windows.

Knights of Columbus Girard Council 2935 will have a steak fry from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 17 at West Fork Roadhouse, 3850 Belmont Ave., Liberty. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Martin Luther Lutheran Church will have its Taste of the Lakes fish fry fundraiser, featuring crappie, walleye and Canadian pike, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9 in the fellowship hall. The meal also will include fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, pie and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults in advance, $8.75 at the door; $3.95 for children 6 to 12; and free for kids 5 and under. Takeout will be available. Tickets are available at the church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, after the 10:30 a.m. worship Sundays, or Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Sept. 7. Tickets are being sold for the 2011 Little Leopards spaghetti dinner from 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 25 at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children under 10 years of age. Volunteers are needed to help cook and serve. Sign up at the concession stand. Walk-ins and takeouts will be available.
