Lucky Duck Race at Yellow Creek Park

Struthers Rotary Club will have the 5th annual Lucky Duck Race on Saturday at Yellow Creek Park. The race will start promptly at 11 a.m., and $1,000 in prize money will be awarded.

Entry fee is $5. Only 1,000 tickets are being sold.

Up to 1,000 numbered bathtub ducks are dropped into the Yellow Creek pond at the bridge. They race toward the finish line at the spillway with a little help from Struthers Fire Department. It is usually a close race, with hundreds of the little ducks nearing the finish at the same time, but only one at a time can cross the finish line. Winners are called out as they cross.

Proceeds are used for Rotary’s community projects.
