Harding High's Renaissance Banquet set for Wednesday

The Effective Schools/Renaissance Committee of Warren G. Harding High School will have its 20th annual Renaissance Banquet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Demetrios Community Center, 3223 Atlantic Street NE.

All students who have received a Renaissance card for honor roll during the 2010-11 school year will be honored.

The Renaissance Program, created by the Warren G. Harding High School Improvement Committee in 1991, is available to Warren G. Harding and Warren city schools’ TCTC students who maintain a 3.2 grade-point average or higher.

Students may apply each nine weeks for a Renaissance card, which rewards students with a variety of incentives donated by local businesses and sponsors.

More than 300 Renaissance cards, representing student achievement, have been issued for the 2010-11 school year.
