A 22-year-old township woman was in court Tuesday facing a charge of child endangering.
Heather R. Schultz has a preliminary hearing May 31 in Mahoning County Area Court here. Police said Schultz was arrested Monday morning when a passer-by found her 3-year-old son alone in a roadway near their Shields Road residence.
When police took the child home, Schultz was asleep, reports state.
Police said the child is in the custody of relatives.
