COLUMBIANA

Springtime in Columbiana is a welcome event, even one to celebrate, as the city is doing in a big way.

Hours for this year’s “Springtime in Columbiana” are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 29 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 30.

Start off with Airing of the Quilts. Spring colors will enliven Main Street as shops and homes display a host of quilts.

Antique shops and specialty stores will host visitors each day with sidewalk sales and other promotions.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, box lunches will be served at the Women’s Club, 121 N. Main St. Sponsors are Tansy-Thyme Travelers Herb Guild.

At the club’s Spring Fever Herb Sale, patrons can purchase an herb plant or a one-of-a-kind cookbook from American Legion Post 290 Auxiliary.

Visitors to the Women’s Club will receive free tickets for the raffle of a handmade quilt. The drawing will take place during the quilting demonstration at the Columbiana Bed and Breakfast on April 29.

A free printed tour guide will complement a historical walking tour of Main Street. Pick one up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at the Log House Museum on the Town Square. The guide will direct walkers to each historical building.
